Welcome to my website!
I am a skilled, experienced editor, proofreader, and occasional writer. Born and educated in the United Kingdom, I have lived in the United States for the past 40 years and am comfortable editing and writing either US English or UK English. I have worked for over twenty years as an editor of both fiction and non-fiction books; many of which have been written by first-time authors who have subsequently published their work on Amazon.com. I am available for line editing, developmental editing, proofreading, copywriting, formatting, and insertion of Tables of Content and Indexes.
My portfolio includes books on self-help, personal development, spiritual and motivational books, how-to books, autobiographies and biographies, poetry and children’s books, young adult fantasy, fiction, paranormal, romance, erotica, real estate and management books for business professionals, a travel guide translated from Russian, traffic school curricula. I have also edited a business blog, The Scrum Master Tales.
Although I work primarily as an editor I have also ghostwritten a book from the author's notes, written and rewritten over 200 SEO articles, website content for various blogs, and written the ending for a science fiction novel. In addition, I created a children’s play based on the story, Panda’s Song, at the request of the book’s author, which has been performed throughout the UK. I have also written articles for an Italian destination website, BeA Alfresco Wedding.
I love what I do, and strive to make my client’s work engage the reader's interest from the first sentence, whilst treating their work sympathetically. My job does not end when the project is complete; I keep in touch with many of my clients and am available for advice on formatting, publishing and marketing.
I work on Upwork.com (where I am a top-rated provider with 5-star reviews and 100% client satisfaction) while at the same time taking care of my private clients and the publisher I occasionally work with. I generally use the Track Changes feature in MS Word to show spelling and grammar errors and insert comments to point out any irregularities or plot inconsistencies in works of fiction. I read every word of a manuscript as I edit for content and flow, and I always ensure that I keep the author’s unique voice and tone. As you can tell from the Photo Gallery, I have edited many genres of books, all of which have been published.
